Between your trial & the wedding date, we will keep in touch. We will create a detailed schedule for you and your bridal party so there are no questions as to who needs to be where and when.

The day of the wedding we will arrive promptly for set up & create beautiful looks that will last through the day & night. Sometimes even into the next morning!!

What services do you provide for besides weddings?

Any event that needs hair, makeup and/or spray tanning you can count on Verve On Location!

Some of our most requested events are for fitness competitions, proms, lessons at dancing schools for stage makeup, headshot, photoshoots and more!


Why should I choose on-site services instead of visiting my local salon?

By having your hair and makeup services were done at the location you are getting married (or ready at) you ensure a timely day. There is no rushing around, trying to fit everyone in the same time slot with multiple stylists, running to and from the car in the rain or wind, or being rushed because another client has called.

When you choose an on location company we arrive promptly to your site where you are comfortably waiting to be pampered. Our day is devoted to you and accustomed to your needs.


Can you accommodate large parties?

Absolutely!  Our team of hair and makeup artists can accommodate parties of any size.


Do you charge a travel fee?

Travel fees apply to certain areas.  Travel fees will be quoted at time of inquiry when a location of prep is given.

In most cases, there is no travel fee since we are centrally located in Bergen county NJ.

The client is responsible for any parking fees that may incur at the location of prep.


When should I book my trial? What can I do to prepare for it?

Trials should be done well in advance of the wedding.  As far in advance as 1 year to secure your wedding date.

For hair trials please wash your hair 1 day prior and have your hair blown dry straight & smooth (not flat ironed) the day of the trial.

For makeup trails please have your skin cleansed and free of heavy makeup.

For all trials, you should always bring photos of looks you love as well as looks that you do not love.  Photos of yourself at an event where you loved the look is great to bring as well!

We recommend you wear a white dress or dress shirt if possible.  If not possible dress up a bit more than you would on an everyday basis.  This will help to have a more realistic vision of how you will look the day of the wedding.

Your hair and makeup can be flawless and glamorous…but if you are wearing yoga pants and a tank top, it will not bring out the magnitude of the look.


Can my bridesmaids have trials as well?

Anyone who would like a trial may have one.  We usually recommend bridesmaids and others having trials if they have extremely difficult hair to work with.


How much time is needed for services?

We will create a detailed schedule for you prior to your event.  For weddings, the start and finish time will depend on the check-in time at the hotel (if applicable) and the finish time is determined by your photographer.  We will always factor in a ‘buffer’ time because life does happen and we want to be prepared for anything so that you are guaranteed to be ready on time.

For other events, we determine the finish time by your needs and factor in time to get dressed without having to rush.

The number of artists booked will depend on how many services need to be done in the amount of time allotted.

All of our clients have always been finished on time or ahead of time.  We pride ourselves on our reliability.


Do you stay for touch ups and style changes?

Booking an artist for a style change between the ceremony and reception or to stay for touch ups during the photos begins at $75/hr.  Please inquire at time of booking.


What brands of products do you use?

We use a variety of professional products.

We are able to accommodate those with gluten sensitivity.  Also, many of our products are paragon free and 100% vegan (including our spray tans!)

If there is a brand you love or would rather us not use, no worries, we can always accommodate you!  Rest assured all of our products are professional.

Please be sure to notify us of any allergies so we may be prepared.


Is Gratuity Included?

Gratuity is not included in the pricing, however, they are greatly appreciated for a job well done!


What if my artist has an emergency the day of the wedding or event?

Although we do our best to work with all weather and health incidents that may come up, we are always prepared for an emergency.

In an extreme case where our artist could not make the event and we did not have an immediate member of our team available, we have many relationships with talented artists all over the tri-state area we reach out to.


How do I book with Verve On Location?

We will collect necessary information from you and then set up a trial.

In order to secure your wedding date, a 20% nonrefundable deposit is required as well as a signed contract.  This can be done prior to or after the trial.  No dates are held without a deposit and signed contract.

If you have a trial booked we will hold your wedding date up to 1 week after the trial.

Any changes that may need to be made to the contract can be done up to 8 weeks prior to the wedding.

Due to our artist’s schedules and us making sure that all of our events run smoothly, changes are urged to be made 8 weeks prior.  This will help to keep everyone on track and organized.


How do I prepare for the day of the wedding?

The day of the wedding please be sure everyone has been sent their time to arrive.  This is crucial to ensuring we stay on schedule.

Everyone receiving hair services, including the bride, should come with their hair washed and blown dry straight the day prior unless otherwise noted.

Everyone should also wear a button down, zip up or wide-necked shirt as to not disrupt their style when changing.

Anyone receiving makeup services should come with their face free of heavy makeup and cleansed as well as lips moisturized.  You may bring your own lip color for touch ups, or you can purchase lip color through Verve On Location.


Do you offer services for the Groom?

Of course!  Whether it’s styling the hair, covering a blemish or evening out skin tone, we can accommodate the groom as well!
